First off, sorry for not writing in a while. Life has been busy! So, Lisa and I decided we are tired of seeing planes falling out of the sky and we've made the decision to eat about $970.00 and drive to Disney. That's how we got there the last time and it wasn't a bad drive. It's 18-20 hours but there is no chance of us falling 17,000 feet to the ground!

The decision isn't really a decision not to fly due to fear of flying. It's more due to a fear of being detained by security because our kids are a bit unruly and I don't want to take them into an airplane. I had wanted to drive from the beginning but I was over ruled. Now Lisa has seen the error of her ways and we will be driving!

Just checking in with everyone. I haven't abandoned my blog. It's odd, we keep going though lulls with this trip. Now that everything has been planned out it is just a waiting game. I don't know, for some reason we don't have the same level of hype as we did with our first trip. Once we are closer and it's time to start buying some clothes for the trip and we are a month or so away I think things will pick up.

Right now it's just time for saving for the trip, building up vacation time at work and exercising my ass off! Yes, I'm still doing that every day. At least 3 miles a day!

I just got an E-Mail from my mother. I guess she reads this blog and she let me know how much she would love to see Lisa and I get married at Disney and the thought that we could do live event video streaming means my grandparents could see everything live. I live about 350 miles away so it would be difficult for them to come to any wedding that I would have so to me it wouldn't matter if it was here or at Disney. I'd probably be setting up a streaming event so they could watch either way. Isn't if funny how my mom gangs up on me about this?

Yes, just what about Angus? Angus is our Boxer and I'd like Angus to hang out at Disney with us. Now we will have plenty of help with a house sitter while we are gone and Angus will have the same amount (if not more) attention than he gets when we are home but we always end up missing him while we are gone. I'd like to take him but apparently it's quite expensive to take a dog to Disney. I asked Lisa about taking him and when she looked into it I pretty much got vetoed. It's about $18. a day for Doggie day care.

I received some information at work yesterday about wedding rings and live event video streaming! Yes, she's back on that kick again. Apparently we could get married in Disney and even have a live pay per view company send it over the internet so both of our families can see it live. I have to hand it to her, she's creative but the picture of that ring she sent me was more than our trip to Disney all together and I don't think you could catch me dead wearing those "just got married in Disney" Mickey ears.

I expect to get more and more of these e-mails and IMs leading up to our departure in a few months. It's okay, I think it's interesting actually. last night we were watching a TV show where a guy who was supposed to be dead gave his living girlfirend a ring and Lisa had to comment that she got a ring even though her boyfirend was dead. Pretty funny stuff right there! We'll see, I'm a tricky guy. I might just give her what she wants, then again, I've really never been into marrage.

I came across something over the last few days that seems like an odd phenomenon when planning a vacation. You know how they say people look like their pets the longer they have them? Well, the longer you plan a vacation the more the vacation plans you. It seems like destinations jump out at you once you have them planned. For example, now that we have plans for Disney this year, a company that Lisa works for is having several Disney based incentives to help boost productivity. If that’s not odd enough the wireless company that I work for is talking about hosting their yearly trade show/award show in Disney and they’ve promised that the exhibit manufactures will be working with Disney to go all out. Now we’ve heard this stuff before and it didn’t pan out and with the economy the way it is I’m sure plans will be scaled down but it sounds cool. Traditionally the show is held in Hawaii so a change would be nice. So, like I said, when you plan a vacation you end up hearing a lot more about your destination than you thought you would.

I started at 260 and ended January at 238. That’s 22 lbs in one month. I’m super stoked about this because I have about two and a half months to reach my goal of 200lbs. If I can maintain 15-20 lbs a month until Disney I’ll be at my goal. Even if I fall short the 22lbs I’m now missing have taken a lot of stress off my knees and lower back. I feel better and that’s the point of losing weight!
